Lemme update ya.

Gosh, ive been such a lazy bum with my blog recently, but as its coming up to christmas and pretty much all my coursework has to be in, ive been a very busy girl!

So just thought id update you :) Anyway its only a quick one, but i'll be blogging LOADSS over the christmas holidays, becuase i'll have lots of time :)

So ive noticed people are changing their hairstyles alot lately. I mean Cheryl Cole has gone shoulder length! SHOULDER LENGTH! im surprised because she's just done the l'oreal campaign, with her lovely long locks. I think shes trying to leave the 'wag look' behind her. Hey, it worked for posh.

Also Daphne Guiness has gone all dark! Saw her in a piece for Grazia and just thought i'd post it.

Anyway, hope the christmas shopping is going well!

First time for everything?

Today I bought my first ever copy of i.D magazine. I KNOW! being the devoted fan of fashion I am, I should have purchased a copy many moons ago but it just never jumped out at me. So there I was in local borders (which might I add, is closing down! Was so devasted.) And saw Georgia Jaggers' face staring right at me. For £5 i thought I should give it a go. Well how delighted was I?! ( I actually couldnt decided whether to get i.D or bon.. but i went with i.D obv) I loved the cover, the content, the advertisements ( glad there wasnt alot though, like Vogue. And I know its not very conventional for someone who adores fashion to condemn Vogue, but come on! every page is an advertisement..maybe I should look past this and see the real content?) But anyway, yes I loved it! Im still going over each page and absoring the loveliness!

Anywho, just thought i'd let you know.

Hope your all well, speak soon chicaroos!

BLOGGER OF THE YEAR!!!

So I was scrolling through a few websites and found the 'Clothes show Live' which is held in Birmingham, England every december. Its literally a giant fashion extravaganza that anyone can go to. They have lots of fashion shows, celebrities, model scouts, competitions and shopping. You get the jist. So i found that they were doing a competition to find the 'blogger of the year'. I was so excited because I've been to the clothes show a couple of times and thought i'd have a go at the comp because I started blogging in september and it just felt like a sign, you know? The winner gets anoounced at the show, and becomes the official blogger for the show, also getting work experience at 'yougo' which is a university based company ( Creates forums for uni kids to chat in , before they actually go to uni) So i decided to write about the 'henry Holland' and pretty Polly collaboration because i dont think its had a lot of publicity. The 5 finalists get annouced on the 27th november ( TOMORROW!!) So im keeping my fingers crossed! Will this be my small breakthrough into a cut throat industry??? Keep your ears to the ground :)

Btw ive posted some pics of the Henry Holland tights. £10!!

My personal faves are the mock stockings! Also ones that say 'wana party' on each calf but i cant find a pic!

Sorry, did Knitwear just get a little bit sexy???

SEQUINSSS!!!

Love the blue one! <<<<

eeekkk how gorge??

Flicking through magazines and fashion websites, I started to ask myself, since when was knitwear SEXY??? A couple of years ago knitwear meant one of your dads pullovers or that crazy red jumper with the little red robin from your kooky grandma. Knitwear designers are seriously picking their game up! I was scrolling through the knitwear section on ASOS and was so surprised! Now, ive always been an ardent fan of the old cardigan but the selection made me fall madly in love with beautiful applique jumpers! They even had sequins... SEQUINS!! I love it when an underreated item in your wardrobe suddenly becomes so fashionable, you want to shout and dance about it. This new found discovery has made me excited for the cold weather, and I know, us Brits are always moaning about cold weather, but with these new found beauties to cover my goose bumped arms, im not complaining!

Anyway, enough of the crazy talk, I've posted a few pictures to see what you think.

Tell me if your loving your new pearl buttoned cardigan or that jumper thats drenched in sequins :)
(All items found on ASOS, in knitwear section :) )

Tar Tar for now, my cable knitted friends :D xxxx

Not lost, just undiscovered.

Speech Debelle with Zane Lowe.
Mr Hudson- AMAZEEEEE in concert, also pretty hot :)

Ellie Goulding, one to watch.

A couple of days ago I went to a 'Mr.Hudson' gig in Manchester and absoloutly loved it! He's only just got really big, but i knew him from a couple of years ago when he brought his album out ' A tale of two cities'. His support act was Speech Debelle who won the 2009 Mercury award. He also had another support act who i ADORED! but cant remember their name and cant find them anywhere!! Its driving me crazy. Anyway I wanted to write this post because after looking for more 'gigs' to go to I discoverd a girl called 'Ellie Goulding'. I feel I have wasted some of my life by only just discovering her music! I watched her on 'Later with jools Holland' and loved her instantly. Her voice is fresh but vintage at the same time. Almost like a KT Tunstall mixed with lady GaGa and La Roux but 10 times better! She only has around 4 songs on youtube, but shes definitely worth a listen. Personal favourites are 'Under the sheets' and 'Starry eyed' oh and 'wished i'd stayed' which was produced by Frankmusik. I predict big things for her! Just remember her name :) Coz you will soon be hearing it everwhere.

Au revoir, Mon Cheries! xxxxxx

The sad news of Luella falling victim to the recession hit the news stands yesterday. I know its not as important as ALOT of other stuff but i suppose it is to the fashion world. The only upside of this story is that the prices have gone right down! Get on to Luella for a bit of a christmas bargain.

Maggie frill skirt prom dress - £312.50!
Plaque large shopper - £257.50

LONG LIVE LUELLLAAA!!

Remembrance Day.

Today on my blog I'd like to highlight the fact that it is Remembrance day. For past and present soldiers who have and are risking their lives to protect us, I would just like to say Thankyou.

Take up our quarral with the foe:

To you from failing hands we throw

The torch;be yours to hold it high.

If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

In Flanders fields.

Elle a Kate!

Oh my gosh! Just got an update from Elle on my facebook and was pleasantly surprised by the Kate Hudson cover! Its one of those where you just have to keep going back to look at it. She's changed her image from all american hometown girl to high fashion vixen! Woahh GO KATE! Reading through the article you'll find her talking about how shes lost weight for a new role and how its affecting her day to day life. I ve always liked Kate's look but just thought she was just another steretypical young, blonde, american, romantic comedy actress ( wow that took a while) But after reading, I've found a new liking for her!
I haven't been inspired by a cover for a while but I just love this one! But I cant quite put my finger on it! maybe its the ice cold elongated flick from her eye :)

Anyway hope your all well :)

See you later aligator ;)

Jessica Fletcher- l love her!

Watching a cross over episode of murder she wrote and Magnum with my bluberry muffin and orange juice. I dont watch it for the 80's crime plot, I watch it for Jessica Fletcher. Shes always been my style icon. I mean the tweed jackets, the pearls, the gold cluster earrings, the plaited waist belts! Ahh I could go on forever! Shes always been overlooked, our Jessica, as an influence on fashion but to me she is everything that is fashionable today. I mean Balmain A/W 09... shoulder pads? Jessica is the queen of shoulder pads! ( OK maybe on a par with Dynasty.. but Jessica makes them looks classy) In the opening credits.. the little bike with the wicker basket.. Ive never been able to find one at the tip and never been able to afford one of the orignal navy blue womens bike with the golden wicker basket.. ahhhh. Or the final shot was always of her laughing! I love that too!The way she wears navy and white and pops her collar. Her bright white plimsoles and 7/8th slim pants. It like she forecasted the S/S09 and A/W 09 shows right back then. Her unforgettable trenches! I love a good trench but they way she wore them is so.. 'french'! I cant stop finding things that i love about her.. its almost becoming an obsession but hey what isnt anymore? The silk scarves with the equestrian theme are always a favourite of mine and shes the only person I know who can pull off a gold bike chain which falls just above the decolletage. Anyway I love Jessica and thought she deserved something nice said about her :) So heres to Jessica! Long live her kooky detective skills and FABULOUS wardrobe!

Ok. hang of it?

I think i may be getting the hang of it. But you know, I can always learn more! As im in my final year of 6th form, I have so much work to do! Studying Othello, reading 5 milllion books, reading a gazillion poems, creating a whole sketchbook about France plus 5 sheets of art, and create a perfume ad campaign PLUS research! No wonder people take a gap year after they've finished education! Anywho got Grazia for £1 today. I love it when they put the price down, makes me feel like im conquering the world.. ok maybe not that big but it makes me feel like im saving at least 95p ( which is always a nice feeling). (So if anyone is reading this and has any good notes on Othello or Duchess of Malfi, i'd love to hear from you!) Sorry for flitting from one subject to the other. So whats on everyones mind? What inspired you today? How did you make someone smile and think about you before they go to sleep? How do i get actual people to read this?! haha Anyway Ciao for now bellas!
